Kurt Kaufmann leads the Application Security team at Blizzard Entertainment, where he helps development teams find, understand, and address security risks across complex applications, services, and game environments. With more than 20 years of experience spanning application security, penetration testing, vulnerability management, secure development, and security leadership, Kurt has learned that the hardest security problems are rarely solved by a single scanner or dashboard. His work focuses on translating technical findings into practical decisions, improving how security and development teams collaborate, and exploring how AI can help security professionals move faster without sacrificing human judgment. He holds the CISSP, CISA, and GPEN certifications.
